The final draft of the ISO 45001 Safety Management System Standard has been approved by the working committee and March 15th 2018 has been announced as the publication date.

As only minor, non technical amendments can be made, companies can now start preparing in earnest for the new standard based on the wording in the Final draft (FDIS) which is already available.

Overall the standard aims to provide a framework for companies to manage Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S), improve OHS performance, provide a safe workplace and prevent injury and ill health to employees and others who may be affected.
